My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Romance and chick-lit aren't my usual book choices, but I was offered the chance to read this pre-publication and took it. I'm glad I did. It's not a long read, so I whiled away a lazy Sunday afternoon reading it. It's a cosy easy read too.
I liked that the reasons behind capable executive Tam's acceptance of the control of her by her family / fiancé's family come out through her story, and of her dawning realization that she can (and should!) be in charge of her own decisions and destiny. Too many women still are not allowed to achieve their full potential for many reasons, not least of which are family pressures.
I also liked that Jack was savvy enough to realise and appreciate this, and had respect for Tam and her abilities and ambitions, an example more men need to follow!
